Searching for an Education Technologist to deliver instructional technology services to all educational entities subscribing to the NBEC service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-Year degree and relevant work experience are required.
  • A Master’s Degree in Educational Technology is desired but not required.
  • A professional teaching license is desired but not required.
  • Experience and ability to train adults and students in the use of educational technology.

Essential Functions:

The following are typical work responsibilities.

  • Assists in providing integration of technology support to requesting member schools/districts.
  • Designing, organizing and facilitating high quality professional development.
  • Is familiar with national and state technology standards and is capable of integrating them in classroom instruction.
  • Provides training and support  to personnel and students of districts subscribing to the NBEC Professional Learning Group
  • Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of instructional multimedia programming for member schools.
  • Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of instructional programming and materials for member schools in a variety of settings as directed by the supervisor.
  • Provides extra billable services as requested/directed.
  • Provides grant writing assistance to member districts when requested.

We have an opening for an EMIS Student Serives Coordinator. This individual will become an integral member of our Student Services Department. This position will have the opportunity to work remotely from home when not needed in the office for training sessions or meetings.

We have an opening for an EMIS Student Serives Coordinator. This individual will become an integral member of our Student Services Department. This position will have the opportunity to work remotely from home when not needed in the office for training sessions or meetings.

A successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Ability to prepare and present in-service and training programs as needed for school district and staff personnel
  • Ability to provide a high level of reliable support services for our end-users of PowerSchool SIS as well as other student services related software programs
  • Ability to learn and maintain a working knowledge of the Educational Management Information System (EMIS) software and state reporting rules/requirements
  • Outstanding communication skills via phone and helpdesk software
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • A strong understanding of the importance of providing quality customer service
  • Ability to troubleshoot common web application issues
  • Enjoy working in a team-focused environment to troubleshoot and resolve software questions and issues

Previous experience working in K-12 education and a working knowledge of PowerSchool SIS/EMIS is a plus.

District Hardware Technician

Looking for individuals to handle field installations and maintenance of various computer/data communications equipment. Position is entry-level and full time with potential for part time employment to be considered for students currently pursuing their degree. Good customer service is a must and knowledge of workstation operating systems and cloud applications a plus. Willing to train! The successful candidate must have good communication and organizational skills and be willing to develop technological skills within the public education environment. All applicants will be required to pass a BCI/FBI background check in order to work in Ohio public schools.

Responsibilities include working with staff and students to answer helpdesk, maintaining inventory, maintenance and management of various schools systems, providing remote assistance where appropriate, and communicating and elevating technology requests to the appropriate staff as necessary.
