Using the fiber network between Northern Buckeye and our member school districts, we are able to offer several options for hosted servers. These virtual servers are entire installations of the operating systems that the district requests (e.g. Linux, Windows) and run in our secure and reliable datacenter.

Using remote access methods (e.g. Microsoft Remote Desktop, VNC) the district has full-control over the server to install any software that is needed. Data from these servers can also be backed up to 2 locations offering even more redundancy and disaster protection.

Northern Buckeye can supply a Hardware Technician to your district at a daily rate. These Technicians can be contracted on a daily, monthly, or yearly basis. We can also offer the flexibility of "2-days a week" or any combination that best fits in your district's needs.

Northern Buckeye CrashPlan PRO is the newest backup offering from Northern Buckeye It has been designed to be a low cost way of automatically getting your data offsite and in a secure data center.

Northern Buckeye CrashPlan PRO is the newest backup offering from Northern Buckeye It has been designed to be a low cost way of automatically getting your data offsite and in a secure data center.
Utilizing client and server software from CrashPlan, in conjunction with existing hardware in Northern Buckeye ’s data center, this service gives you a reliable and robust backup while still being cost effective.
The Northern Buckeye CrashPlan PRO client software gives you full control over all of your backup settings. Settings include files inclusion and exclusion, backup schedules and retention policy. The backup software also automatically encrypts and compresses your data before it is sent to the server. In addition you can use the software to backup to an external hard drive or even another computer which is also running the software.
A simplified pricing structure is easy to understand and flexible enough to hold as little or as much data that you want. Billed on a yearly basis makes this service easy to budget for and easy to renew. While a one-year commitment is required, you are able to increase the amount you backup at any time.
With the Northern Buckeye CrashPlan PRO solution, your data is sent to one of Northern Buckeye ’s datacenter, at one physically location. For this reason, we recommend this as your secondary backup. If you would like a more redundant backup, please ask about our Northern Buckeye StorServer backup solution.
VEEAM
Premium technical support can be provided a cost far below that which could be obtained elsewhere in the industry. Districts may obtain this service from Northern Buckeye on a 'per-call' basis or under a fixed-price maintenance contract.

Member IT Services
The following services are provided to all NWOCA member districts as part of their annual subscription.
For all member districts NWOCA provides managed network solutions. These solutions include manage LAN, wireless and Internet connections. NWOCA provides firewall and web filtering for all members. NWOCA members also are provided with dark fiber connectivity currently providing 10 GB connectivity to all fiber connected districts to NWOCA's datacenters.
NWOCA also works closely with districts to understand district educational needs and works with them to provide the proper technology to support district goals. As needs change NWOCA works with district personnel to determine what technology needs will support their direction.
